Artem Yasynskyy

In 2021, Artem Yasynskyy won the Percy Grainger Second Prize at the Sydney International Online Piano Competition along with five other prizes. In 2015 he was the gold medallist at the Cincinnati Piano Competition and prize-winner at the Honens Piano Competition in Calgary, Canada. He has won prizes at the Gian Battista Viotti Competition in Vercelli, the Sendai International Music Competition and the Gina Bachauer Competition in Salt Lake City, the Top of The World Competition in Tromsø, Norway, the Horowitz International Piano Competition in Kiev, the Manhattan Music Competition and the First German Competition of Polish Music (Leschetizky Competition).

Artem Yasynkyy has toured Canada, USA, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Spain, Greece, Norway, Russia and throughout Germany. He has performed in prestigious venues such as the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Hamburg Laeiszhalle, Jack Singer Hall in Calgary, Kyiv Philharmonie, the Sendesaal Bremen and the Bremer “Glocke”. Artem was born in 1988 in Donetsk, Ukraine into a family of classical musicians. At the age of seven he became a pupil at the Special School for Gifted Children run by the Prokofiev Academy in Donetsk giving his first concert when he was eight years old. A scholarship granted by the Ukrainian Government enabled study at the Prokofiev State Academy of Music with Albina Oryshchuk graduating in2010 with Honours. Artem moved to Germany in 2010 to continue postgraduate studies at the University of the Arts in Bremen with Professor Patrick O’Byrne. In 2018 he completed the degree of Konzert examen with Honours and joined the Piano Faculty.
