Canberra recitals

Our recital series in Canberra is broken up into two categories, the International Recital Series and Emerging Artist Recital Series.

The International Recital Series is made up of leading classical pianists from overseas, and the Emerging Artist Recital Series is made up of 2023 Sydney International Piano Competition prize winners.

Reuben Tsang - Emerging Artist Recital Series

Entering the competition with a weeks’ notice, to become the second youngest competitor to reach the semi-final round, Reuben garnered three different awards at the 2023 Sydney International Piano Competition, including winner Nancy Weir Best Australian pianist. There is no doubt Reuben is an extraordinary performer with a stellar career ahead of him. Catch him on the rise as he performs works by Scarlatti, Faure, Brahms and Mozart.

Joyce Yang - International Recital Series

Lauded by the Washington Post for her “poetic and sensitive pianism” and described by the New York Times as a “knockout”, Piano+ is delighted to present this phenomenal musician in a program of works by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and Stravinsky, followed by Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.

Lukáš Vondráček - International Recital Series

Known for his blend of power, lyricism and nuance, Lukáš is a pianist with an enormously deep range of unforced expression.
